A Dream Came True

After 20 years of dreaming of having a Hughes & Kettner tone on my Mac, this has finally become a reality. It was a pleasure and an honor to work on this project as a Hughes & Kettner employee and as both a fan of the brand's "real" amps and Igor Nembrini's excellent plugins, such as the Bass Hammer or the MP1, to name just two.

The reason for choosing the PureTone as the first digital recreation of the Hughes & Kettner amp line was simple: this amp is the most requested of them all, with a real fanbase of both current and former users.

The question "Why Igor Nembrini and Nembrini Audio?" is also a no-brainer: he’s the BEST!

I hope you all have as much fun playing, using, and hearing this plugin as I have since the first beta versions were sent to me. Check out the factory presets, but please start creating your own sounds pretty quickly, as this will show you how versatile a single-channel amp can be. Learn how to work with the growl control and use the post-FX EQ—it's an ear- and eye-opener and has completely changed how I use amps in my productions.
