“From sparkle clean to rich and fat overdrive tone”

Faceman 2-Channel Head Guitar Amplifier plugin is based on a vintage Fender Bassman*  "blackface" year 1967 with rare 1x15 cabinet loaded with JBL* D130F speaker, made available by Rock 'n' Vintage musical instruments.

Though the original 1952 design was intended and marketed as a bass guitar amplifier, guitar players all over quickly adopted these venerable amps as their own thanks to amazing breakup and beefy bottom end. Two separate channels, each with its own distinctive sound.

Took me a while, but I love it

I didn't understand this one, from a guitar perspective; but I did use it for recording bass. I finally realized that you need to crank the amp's volume knob. I'm really happy about that because it's really my only VST amp that lets me use my guitar's volume knob to control the gain...like a real amp.

Great Fender tones

I'm not a huge Fender amp fan (even after owning hardware blackface), but sometimes its what a song needs. I was surprised at just how good of tones I can get from this sim by lowering the input slider way down and the output slider way up. Also, just like the real amp, it can give the "farty bass" sound on electric guitar, but adding a 3dB per octave HP in front of the amp set at about 275 Hz cutoff works absolute wonders for both the sim and the real amp to tighten it up. Would be a welcomed new feature across all amps since the included rumble filter, which is also useful, seems to be 6dB per octave post cab and really addresses a different issue. All to say that between lowering the input level and running the HP in front of the amp, its very responsive to guitar volume and tone knobs and pick attack. And even without mids on the tone stack, it sounds spot on. Also, the new cab IRs that come with it are quite good.

One of the few Fenders, which I like sonically

To be honest, I've never really been a big Fender amp tone fan, apart from some small Tweed amps, my sonic homebase rather are British voiced amps. So I did not expect much from this release but nevertheless gave it a chance and tried the demo version.

I have been very surprised. Positively. Of course you can get the typical, good Fender clean sounds, but where this amp really shines are the really great sounding crunch and overdrive tones, even at comparably low volume.

Good sustain, also with some - almost similar to a Plexi - sonic qualities, a lot of bite and some nice dirt, good reaction to attack and in general a very authentic, naturally sounding and reacting vintage tube amp tone.

The JBL 15" cabinet seems to be a very good choice for authentic Fender tones, for a beefier, fuller bodied sound the 412 Greenback but also the VHT P50E cabinets do an excellent job.

The two channels sound very different, what I miss, is a linking option.

Also eg. a RAT or OCD work fine in front if you need some heavier tones.

Only a few controls, but a lot of really great tones, simply adjustable.

Great all round amp in my opinion, independent from any musical style or genre and the best sounding and also most flexible Fender amp simulation, which I have heard up to now, despite, or maybe although the few, simple controls.

The best out there!

Just got the plugin and right after opening it, I managed to dial in a thick, rich and super realistic tone.
After much time spent turning knobs and just losing the excitement with other plugins, I have to say that I needed something this simple and effective to play with!

Great Tones, A Great Addition

I'm not a guitarist nor am I an expert on amps but I know a great tone when I hear one, the Faceman is no exception. Competition in the amp sim market is strong however Nembrini Audio hold their own with the products they push out. Keep up the great work!!
